Often, I like to create random images for fun, just to keep the creative juices flowing. The end result is really not important because it is all about the process, the mental notes you take and the inspiration that follows. This piece was influenced by the colorful bold blacklight posters and some of the graphic Blue Note album cover art. Blacklight posters probably don't hang on many walls these days, but the influence of Blue Note design and photography is still evident. Has anyone recently seen an obvious Blue Note album cover rip? The Beatnuts Intoxicated Demons cover ripped Hank Mobley's The Turnaround, but they also outright stole the logo. Does the face look familiar?
