I had a vision on the train this morning and was able to actually create what I saw. Wonder how I should color this...
Nowadays hip hop is shit hop, well alot of it is. Its Embarrassing i'd rather listen to Avril Lavigne!
This is for the international crowd that appreciates that classic hip hop flavor! I appreciate the current ice-cream flavored raspberry and blue multi-layered, multi-hued combinations . . . But I cringe when I see grown men in rainbow brite and fruity-licious fashions from head to toe. And if so, please save that for the clubs. But wait, shout outs to the young & colorful kids out there.
This style here was fresh and clean. The MC and ONE weed carrier, not 5-7 dudes on stage
Doodle clothing design. I like to sketch clothes on characters helps me out a lot with ideas.
Here's a version of a character design that I'm working on. Did you ever have an image or thought in your head that was difficult to transfer to paper? The image just did not come out the way you imagined it would. That just means I need more continue doodling. Check out another version after the jump. Let me know what you think.
Here's a quote from the world of politics for those that are interested. A former John Edwards supporter said this while introducing Senator Clinton.

Some people compare one of the other candidates to John F. Kennedy. But he was assassinated.Source: NYTIME Political Blog. This political tidbit was picked up by the Huffington Post, MSNBC and some other political bloggers. I would expect a snide remark from a shock jock, comedian or snarky blogger but I guess when people are involved in presidential campaigns, they say some real funky a** ish.
The hair looks ridiculous, but that’s the point. Word to Flatbush! She’s the young 16-18 year old that spends hours getting her hair done, only goes to the hottest clubs and is not afraid to use the entire color spectrum for hair and make-up. Eventually in the next 10-12 years that same club hopper will move to Tennessee, Virginia or Georgia and begin her private medical practice.
I grabbed a recent sketch and decided to have some fun with it. Inked in Illustrator and quickly colored in Painter.
Start with the basic shapes. The most important part is realizing the unique shapes involved in any character. The Simpson are not an exception, the fact that they have a systematic approach, makes it easy to draw. Note, Bart is a little over two heads high.
Some people like to fuss over the minute details but you don't have to. You can give Bart less spikes in his hair, you can turn his pupils into stars, you can add the Krylon logo on the spray can and maybe give him a pair of Air Jordan III or those over-priced BAPE sneakers. Either way, make it your own.
