UPDATE: Click here for a real Milhouse tutorial!

Learn how to draw Millhouse, Bart or any of the Simpsons characters. It is not difficult, just stick to the basic shapes and you’ll be able to draw Simpson (read:Matt Groening) style characters comfortably. Since I am an ‘expert’, I use the basic Simpson template as a guide to create new characters.

The Simpson Handbook is a great book for anyone who wants to learn how to draw. The book is filled with examples of the Simpson characters. You can use the book to draw Bart, Homer and Lisa. With enough practice, you will eventually be able to create your own original characters. Do not worry about making your drawing perfect or exactly like the Simpsons characters, just stay loose and have fun. Matt Groening’s original Simpsons sketch is crappy compared to what made it to television. After checking out the book and my great step-by-step demonstration, if you still feel like you can’t draw the Simpsons, stick to circles and basic geometric shapes—it’s the same thing.

I’ll draw more variations until the next how-to-draw lesson. Have any suggestions or want to see something in particular, let me know.
