Creating this was frustrating because it is not as good as what I set out to do. Oh well, I'm still learning. I'm happy with the results for now but dismayed that I wasn't able to complete my vision. There are a couple of mistakes that stem from a weak initial drawing. I was trying to combine lights and dark with a rainbow of colors in an interesting way. I'm a big fan of chiaroscuro and light aberrations in images, they work well with sports images, I'm trying to work that magic. The close-up is a bit more interesting, I see many possibilities in the layered colors. When I was tired and beyond frustrated I stopped and cheesed it out with Street Fighter-style power-rays. Adding pixie dust to the power rays did cross my mind. And for good measure, I recalled the cover for Michael Jackson's Thriller and made his wrist band glow. I'm working version B that will definitely include the current LH champion, and plan on posting it tomorrow before the fight. I'm going to have Chuck front and center in his wide-arm victory pose. I will attempt to "ice" him out a bit with light and maybe ice particles if I can accomplish that. Rampage will be an imposing figure in the background with his chain. Posting tomorrow, hopefully. I'm confident that it will look fine. Who's winning this competition, I don't know and I do not have any favorites. I know I will be highly disappointed if some one wins via submission, but I doubt that. Just as I can see Rampage being dropped with the looping overhand punch, Lidell can be overwhelmed by a barrage of punches or ground and pounded. Who knows, if this last for more than 2 rounds we might see some of Lidell's kick-boxing or jui-jitsu skills. Whatever, the fight should be crA-Zy!! The undercard is alright.
