The last of these posts. These would be more interesting fully colored. The drawings are so-so. I do have some other old animated samples, but I need to get busy on new ones soon.

Rare Sunday post. Here's another old one.
Stats: 312 frames running @24fp

Nobody watches Sports: I missed UFC70! I fell asleep after the first two matches. Yeah anything can happen. I guess styles makes the fight and a little extra weight helps also.
Cheick Konga looks impressive but he really needs help with BJJ or wrestling. Bisping and Machida are the truth. Maybe Arvloski vs. Filipovic? Next heavyweight, Gonzaga?
Well at least there's De La Hoya vs. Mayweather, which I believe can truly go either way. Oscar can press Floyd, challenge him inside and test his endurance. Hopkins questions weather or not Mayweather has ever been truly challenged? I just don't expect a one-sided fight like Mayweather's complete domination of Arturo Gatti.
My man scratch is killin me with all his posts!! when does he find the time to do so much work!!! ah well..it is what it is.
2 fairly new joints. just trying to work out some ideas though with these.I guess that makes these wip's as usual.
Im scritch...dont snitch!!

CLICK THE IMAGE! Finally able to add flash content!
Here's an old simple drawing that I forgot was sitting on my hardrive. It's old but it's still hot! After the jump is an explanation of how I automatically created this simple animation (about 325f) with the click of a button. That is if you're interested. Very soon, I'll post a full composited animated graphic using this same effect.Â

Tech info Teeechnical Crap:
A while back, I created a script for Adobe Illustrator that would mimic the computer drawing frame by frame. The script is far from perfect, there are a couple of glitches. The flickering image occurred when I transferred the animation from Illustrator to Flash. I had difficulty writing a recursive function, but I found some hacks to make it work. I don't like the way the darker line is animated but I know a solution that should fix that in the future.
The script crashed my application a couple of times before I realized why you should catch errors in complicated scripts. And vector based illustrations can get really heavy in terms of file size. There is a line count limit, so the drawing should be simple.
I will rewrite the script using javascript as opposed to applescript. A javascript engine is built into Illustrator, making it a faster solution. The original script took about 2-3 hours to complete this animation on my old 500Mhz G4. In the future I'll be testing it on a 3GHz PC.
In the end, with the finished script, I can add this animated effect to any drawing I create in Adobe Illustrator automatically. Drawing 325 frames by hand involves long tedious hours, so shortcuts are official! This script has many possibilities so I'll post some experiments in the near future.
This movie should be good, it drops today. I'll try another movie poster in a new style pretty soon. This style is cool, but I need to improve it the next time I feel like experimenting.

Sports Crap: NBAÂ referee Joe Crawford was suspended indefinitely.
The NBA rules has gotten crazy and with it, some of the refs. Tim Duncan, not Rasheed Wallace, got a technical foul while sitting on the bench! For what?? Laughing! Well, apparently the ref asked big Timmy if he wanted to fight. After investigations, the NBA finally decided to protect the players and suspend Joey for the rest of the season.
In the NBA, you will get a technical if you show any emotional reaction to a referee's call. Here's some excerpts from the NBA official technical foul Rasheed guidelines.
The Spurs went on to lose the game.
A technical foul(s) may be assessed to any player on the court or anyone seated on the bench for conduct which, in the opinion of an official, is detrimental to the game. d. A technical foul shall be assessed for unsportsmanlike tactics such as: (1) Disrespectfully addressing an official (3) Overt actions indicating resentment to a call e. Cursing or blaspheming an official shall not be considered the only cause for imposing technical fouls. Running tirades, continuous criticism or griping may be sufficient cause to assess a technical. Excessive misconduct shall result in ejection from the game.Peep the video after the jump and another pretty old drawing.

My computer is not acting right . . . so, here are some words.
Politicians usually speak, act and behave frankly during the last months of their terms. Hours before leaving office President Bill Clinton issued 140 pardons. Clinton pardoned people for offenses like importing cocaine, money laundering, financial fraud, issuing worthless checks, intent to distribute illegal drugs, and many more crazy crap. Clinton was a hugely popular president, that's another issue. Tony Blair is on his way out of office and he is speaking his mind. 7 kids under 16 murdered under a 2 month period is serious.
Blair blames recent string of murders on black culture. "When are we going to start saying this is a problem amongst a section of the black community and not, for reasons of political correctness, pretend that this is nothing to do with it?" "We need to stop thinking of this as a society that has gone wrong - it has not - but of specific groups that for specific reasons have gone outside of the proper lines of respect and good conduct towards others and need by specific measures to be brought back into the fold." Mr. Blair is known to believe the tendency for many black boys to be raised in families without a father leads to a lack of appropriate role models. The Commission for Racial Equality broadly backed Mr Blair, saying people "shouldn't be afraid to talk about this issue for fear of sounding prejudiced".If a U.S. politician (or radio broadcaster) made the same comments, what would happen? Will people protest and ask for immediate resignation? How much of a media frenzy would those statements cause? And more importantly, what social changes would actually occur to stop said murders? . . . here are some excerpts from another article titled, "Failure has no Father."
But to listen to the chorus of criticism that followed, it is a start that should never be allowed to take place. Mr Blair was immediately condemned by "community leaders" for not proposing "more funding" to "community groups". They wanted him to tackle "deprivation and poverty". Well, he's tried doing that - it has been New Labour's central priority since 1997 - and it hasn't worked: by the Government's own measures, there are actually more children now living in poverty than there were in 1997, despite a plethora of tax breaks and additional welfare payments directed at getting resources to poor children. Furthermore, while there is some sort of link between poverty and criminality, most poor people aren't criminals. Whatever it is that turns you into a criminal, it is not simply being raised in a poor family. If it were, crime rates would be far, far higher than they are. As it is, poor people are far more often victims of crime than they are its perpetrators. . . . The Government provides incentives to bring up children without both parents. So much so that, according to the Institute for Fiscal Studies, there are 200,000 more people claiming the benefits and tax credits that are due to lone parents than there are actually lone parents in the UK. The consequences of making single-parenthood ever-more economically viable are completely predictable. One of them is that there will be more teenage killings, and not just in the black community.Of course the issue is more complex and can be argued ad nauseum. I'm almost sure that a definitive researched document does not exist stating that single parenthood leads towards many social ills, because there are many examples of dysfunction from traditional 2-parent homes.
The answer is to return real discipline and respect to schools, to police and to communities and to change the culture these youths live in, to raise them with very different values and ethics, and accept that these things come at a price of harder expectations than is currently fashionable. Immediately after both wars in the last century thousands of widows raised boys alone without them attacking each other with knives in the streets. Why? They wouldn't have dared and they would have thought it was wrong.. . . Some of the comments sound familiar to arguments and solutions you hear on U.S talk-radio and televised talk show programs.
