The SpamBot Invasion Doodle

What happened? Here's the problem. My hosting company shut this blog down temporarily because it suffered an attack by nebulous, evil, profiteering spambots that was overwhelming the CPU. What can I do? Did I discover a solution to combat the spambot attack on this blog? No, I didn't discover a solution yet. In the interim, I decided to temporarily shut down comments, permanently disable pingbacks and trackbacks. Unfortunately, I have to take time away from reading some cool books (Stephen King's the Stand unabridged version, the new Walter Mosley Leonid McGill book), various online articles and blog posts, so I can learn more about spambots, nifty php hacks, and the internal structure of WordPress. In the event this blog gets shut down again, then you know I failed my mission.

The Morning Scritch, Scratch and Scribble

Good morning.

Monday Mashings

Good Monday morning! What's new? Note, you'll probably see more drawings of hooded figures. Many people are posting photo wearing hoodies in support and the memory of Trayvon Martin. The entire Miami Heat team recently posted a photograph online. TUF Brazil. Watch in online. Great MMA action.

Sketchbook Fodder

Meh. I was thinking about trashing these drawings but I decided to post these as a reminder. Keep pushing.

Tuesday Drawing

Still working out some kinks. Practice and keep it moving.

Rough Monday Morning

Face Off My son woke me up around 2:30am and I could not go back to sleep. So I'm trying to put the time to good use. On a sad note, I just read about 17 year old Trayvon Martin who was just "walking around looking about". He weighed 140lbs. His assailant 28-year old George Zimmerman weighs 240lbs. This is a case of a bag skittles and iced tea versus a 9mm handgun. My son will definitely grow up learning to constantly be aware of his surrounding and understand how easily he can be perceived as a threat or simply suspicious. I'll admit I am some what apathetic to some of these tragic stories. Numbness sets in after reading countless similar tales year after year after year that do not get national attention. But with that said, I still feel sad, anger and loss. Will justice for the Martin family be enough? Will the city or state have enough evidence to prosecute? Is the world really watching?

Friday Night Fights

Click the image for a close-up. I like yesterday's drawing better. This one is a little bit wild and wonky. Of course, it is not finished. Tonight I am going to check out TakeOn Productions Live at MSG. Muay Thai fights for the first time at Madison Square Garden! It's not the UFC in NYC but I imagine this event should be good. Maybe I'll try to capture the action with some sketches.

Kick Boxer Another early morning special.
