Here's a quick interpretation of Gene Luen Yang's the Monkey King a.k.a Su Wu-Kung. The old chinese cultural posters are good. I just read the original tale and now I have a greater appreciation for ABC's version. Take a look at my simple process . . . flesh out the simple shapes, add the line work and have fun coloring. More to come.

It’s cool seeing that process. I’ve seen some of your other concepts which are drawn in pencil… do you use the method posted often or were you just playin around?
