Instead of posting the rough sketches in pencil, I'm posting clean AI drawings. I still have to improve the drawing and overall design. Except the hair, the design will remain as simple and symmetrical. The fun part will be embellishing the locks, adding bright jewelry and filling out the clothes with lines, patterns and textures.
AI CS3 is Great! The Live Color feature is a time saver. You can use it without reading the documentation, but I know I'll be reading it soon. The image on the right is the "Live Colored" version.

I just checked out the video on Adobe’s site about the Live Color feature and that thing looks amazing!
